  • Metro Peoria consists of 33 churches and 3 missions.
  •  550,000 people live within our association.
  •  Metro Peoria covers 13 counties.
  •  Three counties do not have any Southern Baptist Convention work.
  •  380,000 people live in the four counties that make up metropolitan Peoria. 
  •  Peoria is the second largest metropolitan area in Illinois, second only to Chicago.
  •  Five African-American churches and One Korean speaking church are included in our association.
  •  A network has recently been developed to identify locations for new church starts.  We project  eight new churches in the next few years.
  •  Metro Peoria is 200 miles east to west and 100 miles north to south.  It takes over three hours to travel from the Eastern-most church to the Western-most church.
  •  Approximately 325,000 unchurched people live in Metro Peoria Association.
